Artist: H. E. Wenck  (1886- 1958)

"Papago Dwelling" circa 1930, Etching.

Edition: Not stated - but probably very small. Signed in pencil, H E Wenck, lower right and also in the plate; titled, Papago Dwelling, lower left.

Excellent condition. Good margins, left and right, a little narrow at the top (1/2"), probably as issued. Little is known of Harold Edgar Wenck other than that he was a part time resident of Tombstone, Arizona. He also authored and illustrated "Phantoms of Old Tombstone" published by Arizona Silhouettes, Tucson, Arizona, in 1951.  Wenck was born in Montana on August 15, 1886, and passed away on October 10, 1958. At the time of his death he was residing in Lakeside, Arizona.
