"Mojaves Display Their Beads" circa 1910-1915, Woodcut. Edition: Not stated, but probably very small. Signed in pencil, Stella L. Towne, lower right; titled, Mojaves Display Their Beads, lower left. Image: 6 15/16 x 5 15/16 inches (176 x 150 mm). Sheet: 11 3/16 x 7 15/16 inches (284 x 200 mm). Excellent condition. Good margins. Three glue spots along the upper margin, well away from image. Depicting two Mojave Indian women selling their beads at the Southern Pacific train station in Needles, California. A very nicely done print by an, as yet, unknown artist. $900.00 |
