BASIC PORTFOLIO DESCRIPTION:
THE PORTFOLIO FOLDER: The front cover of the portfolio is decorated with a Megargee print done in red (see image upper right). The cover reads, "The Cowboy Builds a Loop" "Lon Megargee." The portfolio folder itself is made of a heavy tan card stock, folded, with cut tabs to hold the prints. The folder, closed, measures 13 1/8" x 10 3/4" (332 x 272 mm). Portfolio condition: There is a slight discoloration near the upper right hand corner, very minor. Additionally, there are some minor creases to the corners. The back of the portfolio displays a list of the prints, a Lon Megargee image, and a foreword written by Western author Owen Arnold, it is signed "O. A." and reads: What's inside a lariat loop?-O. A. The list of Lon Megargee prints, in order, are: Burros, Taos Pueblo, The Bronc, Westward Ho, Apaches, The Shrine, Siesta, The Dance, Cuernavaca, The Drum, Wild Horses, The Trapper, Busted, La Paloma, War Bonnett [sic], and Lone Cowboy.
