Image: 2 1/4 x 3 inches (57 x 76 mm). Sheet: 5 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches (133 x 146 mm).

Reference: Beall 2002:333 #1.

Excellent condition. Good margins. Printed on off-white wove paper. Printed for members of the Miniature Print Society, Alexandria, Virginia, March 1946. Includes: print tipped onto original windowed rag mat (11" x 8 1/2"; 278 x 216 mm), a page of text on Gerry Peirce, plus the print, and the original envelope. In the American Print Collection of the Library of Congress.

"Bad Lands" circa 1939, Drypoint.

Edition: 50. Signed in pencil, Gerry Peirce, lower right; titled and numbered, lower left.

Image: 8 1/2 x 7 1/8 inches (216 x 181 mm). Sheet: 12 1/16 x 9 inches (305 x 228 mm).

Excellent condition. Margins short, left and right, as issued. Printed on off-white wove paper. Two pieces of old hinge tape in the upper left and right corners of sheet, well away from image. A prospector and his pack animal begin to enter the "bad lands." This print has many stylistic similarities with his print North Rim and probably dates from the same time period.

Excellent condition. Good margins. A serene impression printed on off-white wove "Japan" watermarked paper. Illustrates the side entrance to Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion (aka - La Parroquia de la Purisima Concepcion) located in Alamos, Mexico. Though commonly referred to as a cathedral it is not.

Excellent condition. Good margins. Printed on off-white wove paper. This print was distributed by Associated American Artists, the certificate of authenticity transfers with the print. Very dark drypoint work with excellent use of ink wipe.  Exhibited at the Society of American Etchers 24th Annual Exhibition, 1939. This particular print was exhibited at the 22nd Biennial International Art Exhibition, Venice, Italy, in 1940.  In addition to the Associated American Artists certificate, mentioned above, the original printed and stamped Gerry Peirce Biennial submission "ticket" will also transfer with the print.

In the American Print Collection of the Library of Congress.

Excellent condition. Good margins. Printed on cream wove paper, watermarked "JAPAN". Exhibited at the 1939 New York World's Fair and illustrated in the Graphics Arts section of the influential companion volume "American Art Today" (Arms et al. 1939).

Image: 6 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches (171 x 242 mm). Sheet: 8 3/4 x 1 1/4 inches (223 x 310 mm).

Excellent condition. Good on cut margins. Printed on cream wove paper. Fun print. Lots of things going on hanging up was, fixing roof, burro train, goats on hillside, a cat and burro rest, and plenty of outhouses. Interesting print done in the 1930s - today a large metal fence sits nearby - and the area is not so tranquil. Time and mankind does change things.

"San Jose - San Antonia" circa 1933-1935, Etching.

Edition: Not stated, but probably very small. Signed in pencil, G Peirce, lower right; titled, San Jose, lower left, and San Antonia, center.

Image: 4 11/16 x 3 7/16 inches (120 x 88 mm). Sheet: 7 1/4 x 5 5/8 inches (183 x 143 mm).

Excellent condition. Good margins. Printed on heavy tan parchment style wove paper. One of Gerry Peirce's earliest western America prints. Before arriving in Tucson, Peirce did several prints of the eastern seaboard, then New Orleans, and here, San Antonio. The guy was moving West. The image depicts the front of Mission San Jose in San Antonio, Texas. Part of the San Antonia Mission group.

Detached is a label from Collins Art Shop & Saunders Gallery, 303 N. St. Mary's Street, San Antonio, Tex. (Gunter Building). The label proclaims: "You can live without pictures - but not so well."

Excellent condition. Good margins. Printed on cream wove paper. A beautifully crafted drypoint of the western end of the Santa Catalina Mountains, just north of Tucson, and before the development came. A solitary road winds off toward Pima Canyon as Pusch Ridge rises above.
