This particular print was exhibited at the 22nd Biennial International Art Exhibition, Venice, Italy, in 1940.  In addition to the Associated American Artists certificate, mentioned above, the original printed and stamped Gerry Peirce Biennial submission "ticket" will also transfer with the print. Before arriving in Tucson, Peirce did several prints of the eastern seaboard, then New Orleans, and here, San Antonio. The guy was moving West. The image depicts the front of Mission San Jose in San Antonio, Texas. Part of the San Antonia Mission group.

Detached is a label from Collins Art Shop & Saunders Gallery, 303 N. St. Mary's Street, San Antonio, Tex. (Gunter Building). The label proclaims: "You can live without pictures - but not so well."
