Excellent condition. Good margins. Very nice early period print by Kloss. Printed on cream laid paper. Some minor spotting to back of print, otherwise in fine condition. Illustrated in the Harwood Foundation's Kloss exhibit in 1994 (page 23).

Excellent condition. Good margins. Printed on heavy white wove paper. Winner of the Henry B. Shope Prize, Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA), 1951. Written on the back of the old mat was the following:

     A typical creation myth of primitive Indians in a ceremony given annually at Taos
     Pueblo Jan. 1, annually starting at dawn. Dancers tell about the little turtle that
     arose after, The Great Flood with mud on his back and made our earth. This is known
     at Taos as the Turtle Dance.
